It is currently early to mid-November which means we have about 6 weeks until the Holiday season is upon us. If you're anything like me, then you're about to be knee-deep in shopping for holiday gifts. If you're anything like my husband, you're WISHING and HOPING that your partner sticks to the "Holiday-Budget."
Personally, my husband is the household budgeter. I have absolutely no interest in budgets, expense tracking or any of that. Thankfully, he keeps track of our spending and I have to admit, although somewhat shamefully, that every single year I ALWAYS overspend our Holiday budget.
What can I say: gifts are my love language.
I know that I'm not alone in my gift-giving spending frenzy. According to Investopedia, the average cost of American spending during the Holiday season is a whopping $998. So, if you stumbled across this blog post, one thing you may be thinking is: "How can I earn some extra cash this holiday season?"
Today I am going to share 5 Perfect Side Hustles For The Holiday Season so that you can start making some extra Christmas Cash.
Side Hustle #1: Selling Digital or Printable Items on Etsy
Selling Printable or Digital Products on Etsy is easily my number one recommendation for making relatively passive cash online. Etsy has a built in marketplace of consumers LITERALLY searching for digital or printable documents. These products are easy to create (no design experience needed!) and are fantastic because you don't have to worry about selling physical products, dealing with returns and/or shipping, or having to manage inventory and materials.
Digital products are products that you create (for free) once in systems like Canva and then resell over and over again.
Not to mention, there are endless possibilities for the types of products you could create. You could go the Holiday route and create digital holiday card templates, holiday season planners or checklists, Holiday budgeting templates, Holiday Party game templates and so, so, so much more.

Side Hustle #2: Become a Transcriptionist
Transcription work offers a way to make some extra money during the holidays. There are many online platforms where you can find transcription jobs, and most offer some form of training as part of the service. Transcriptions are often done on a per-minute basis, and pay varies depending on the skill level required for the job. Companies like REV can pay up to $1.25 per minute for transcription work and that can add up pretty quickly!

Side Hustle #3: Take Survey's
The side hustle idea of "taking survey's online" seems to be one of the biggest that raise a red flag for users because they just seem... scammy. However, people have been getting paid to take survey's since the 60's so it's really not a new concept at all. In fact, I remember a popular mall that I used to go to as a teenager had an entire "survey taking" store inside it where you could go in and take survey's and get paid cash.
Online surveys are growing in popularity as more people seek ways to make extra money. Surveys can be done from home and take as little as 5 minutes to complete. They pay between $5 and $50 for completion and offer hundreds of survey opportunities every month.

This one isn't necessarily a "side-hustle" but it is a super viable and legitimate option if you're looking for a way to make money online with reputable companies during the Holiday season.

There is a small subscription fee (it's literally just a few dollars to get access to TONS of jobs) but it's well worth if you're looking for a legitimate place to find virtual opportunities.

Do you have thousands of photos taking up space in your phone? Me too! There are tons of websites where you can sell photographs for extra cash. An example of one would be Shutterstock; they have a fantastic contributor program where you can earn up to 40% commission every time someone purchases your photograph.
You may not think that people would want your photographs but what you don't know is that there is a HUGE market online for photographs. Whether it's photographs of your pets, your home, cars, technology, vacations and travel - people are willing to buy it so that they can add the photo to their website or promotional products.
